The Mayor’s Thames Festival - 11 & 12 September 2010
Noon-10pm
This is a free event based on and around the River Thames from Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge
with a mixture of street arts, performance, carnival, pyrotechnics, illuminations, art installations, exhibitions, river events, massed choirs, circus, music and dance, food and feasting.
The finale is a magical illuminated Night Procession that winds along the north and south banks of the Thames,
followed by a fireworks display fired from the centre of the river itself.     http://www.thamesfestival.org/festival

Swamp Rock Stage presents A Musical Gumbo - Sun 12 September 2010
12 noon - 8.30pm
21st Century Hoedown Stage @ Oxo Tower Wharf, London
A Sunday Special Menu of Meaty, Beaty Jambalaya from Louisiana, Hot and Spicy Chilli from the Deep South,
Eels and Mash from the badlands of Essex, Sweet Buskers' Jam from Old London Town, Soulful Chicken Soup and Latkes from Eastern Europe, with a pinch of this and a dash of that.
A delicious fun day of world music and dance by the Oxo Tower. Elvis Fontenot will be performing from 7.00pm,
with a Zydeco dance workshop with Suzi Wheller from about 6.30.
Other bands booked include Klezmer, Rockabilly, East of Ealing and the Kremlinaires. Sun 12 September 2010

 The Greenwich Cajun Music and Dance Festival 2010
a programme of Cajun instrumental, singing and dance workshops taking place at The Tudor Barn on Thursday 16th. and Friday 17th. September.
There are 11 workshops taking place over 2 days and evenings.
